It is a nonlinear crystal optimal for generating the fourth and fifth harmonics of Nd:YAG.
It is the most anticipated crystal for the generation of the fourth and fifth harmonics of Nd:YAG lasers. It has high conversion efficiency and damage threshold, and is attracting attention as a component for laser light sources used in processing applications such as fine hole drilling. It is highly hygroscopic, making it impossible to use water during crystal processing. Additionally, humidity management is required both during processing and usage. In actual use, it is encapsulated in a high airtight package cell.
